LSFC finished fourth in the intercollegiate edition of the Inter-La Salle, which was hosted by De La Salle University - Dasmariñas in its sprawling sports complex. By this time, the team had the returning Eldrich de Villa of the high school team of 1999. De Villa had suited up for De La Salle University - Dasmariñas the previous season.
The team gave DLSU - Manila a fright before being beaten. Ryan Tibayan scored a perfectly legitimate goal which was supposed to have LSFC the lead. The ball had crossed the line but was hooked out. In the dark, neither the referee nor the linesman could see that the ball had gone in.
The match was subsequently abandoned and the remaining minutes played the next day, to the benefit of DLSU - Manila.
