One of the matches in the successful RIFA campaign of 2001 was a win by default after the opposition failed to turn up at the Southridge School field in Alabang, appointed venue for the match. The team went through the motions then played a brief scrimmage before packing things up to head for the mall.
Although the three points came in handy, the win by default was scant consolation for the effort to get to the venue to play the game; not to mention the waste of money spent.
